The hinterland of Dapek generated $57Bn GDP in 2023 (36% of its total GDP) just from industrial activities of manufacturing, mining and quarrying, electricity and gas supply, waste management and water supply and agriculture. Many petrochemical producers of PTA, PS, PET, specialty chemicals are based in the hinterland.
